Our vision for the future of Horndean Junior School centres on the core principles of Thinking Learning Caring.
We will create a climate in which children are encouraged to make wise decisions and choices in all that they do. With thoughtful reflection they will become more aware of their actions and the effect of those actions on others and on the environment.
Through our work in school we will continue our pursuit of high expectations endeavouring to push the boundaries of learning. We will create an achievement culture for all and strive to define the habits necessary in the pursuit of present and future learning.
We are committed to creating an environment where caring flourishes. This will be at the centre of all that we do. Feelings of self worth, mutual respect and understanding of others’ cultures and beliefs are part of our community of caring and will be generated within the context of Christian belief and practice.
