Design and Technology allows the children to understand the processes behind a product being ‘thought of’ and developed. The design and technology curriculum focuses on the areas of structures, controls and mechanisms, food and textiles. We encourage the children to investigate existing products and consider how they can be improved.
The whole process involves the children designing, making and evaluating their own products. The children are also taught how to use tools correctly.
